Why in-person courses
In the modern world, people are looking at alternative learning methods. Here at Ability Consultancy, we feel that the best way to learn about disability is to experience it through hands-on experiences and challenges. We can tailor your training needs to meet your requirements. Here are a few of the positives of in-person learning:
- Fewer distractions – In-person classes are less likely to be interrupted by digital distractions.
- Structured environment – A physical classroom provides a routine and structure to help everyone focus and absorb information.
- Immediate feedback – Participants can get immediate feedback from deliverers, which can be important for understanding complex topics.
- Hands-on learning – In-person learning can provide participants with hands-on experience and a unique insight into the world of disability. This will be beneficial to their understanding and development in many areas.
- Human interaction – Participants can interact with their peers and deliverers in real-time, leading to collaborative learning. Everyone can ask the questions they need to at the time.
- Teaching subjects that require practical application – In-person learning can be more efficient for subjects that require physical demonstrations, such as our disability awareness courses.
- Understanding appropriate terminology – In-person learning can be especially effective for learning a topic you may struggle to understand or ask for further clarification. This is especially important for our courses as we answer the questions you may be afraid to ask!
- Personalised learning – Undertaking an in-person course can ensure that the delivery can be adapted so the participant outcome requirements are met and the course can be tailored to your needs.
