Adapting PE Sessions
Sport Specific adaptations: working alongside the disabled person, we can help find bespoke adaptions to ensure the PE session is fully accessible and achieves the same outcomes and gives the same opportunities to both disabled and able-bodied students.
1:1 Support for Teachers
Support the school teachers on a 1:1 basis or within an educational environment who support children in main stream schools who have extra needs. This will include adaptations and positively impact on the inclusion of the disabled person in all of the PE lessons.
Personalised practical advice for Teachers and Students
Taking part in the PE sessions alongside the student and the teacher or support staff to provide assistance, alterations to the lesson and tips to deliver a high standard lesson. Engaging the other students to support and understand the adaptions.
Support will be offered over a series of weeks, gradually getting the teachers and students to work together to find their own adaptions and to think outside the box
Assisting organisations in understanding and implementing the Equality Act. An informal session giving clubs and organisations the core elements of the act and what it means in simple terms. Support for implementing the Act and training the staff on equality
Training Needs Analysis for Teachers
Lead a programme of supporting the development of teachers, identifying and reviewing their strengths, weakness and their personal ambitions in terms of supporting para athletes in their school. Identify key areas for their development along with bespoke mentoring for teachers
