Disability Awareness in Sport

School sport plays an essential role in a disabled person’s health and well-being. It can provide a level playing field for them and their peers where other subjects and experiences may not. This 6hr course combines our accredited disability awareness course and introduces the Inclusion Spectrum, providing an opportunity for new and existing PE teachers to increase their knowledge, build confidence and develop strategies and opportunities for a disabled pupil to take part in sport.

This course is available in person (with a practical) or available online (no practical)

Adapting PE to Encourage and Engage Everyone

We all know that finding alternative ways to do something is never simple and can be very daunting and frustrating.  Using our 20 years of experience as a para coach spanning numerous different sports, we can support teachers to adapt and develop their sessions.  We share our successes and things that did not work so well, to enable you to develop the best lesson possible.  This session explains the key things to consider and provides you with practical examples, equipment, hints and tips from people in the know.

Bespoke Sessions

We work with individual schools and pupils to encourage and develop fully integrated sessions.
We attend the school or place of teaching and support the teacher and the students with extra needs to adapt and take part in the sport session. This will include a pre-meeting and follow up session if needed. The sport/activity could be any PE-based activity, swimming or non-traditional sports. We have a wide range of sporting equipment available to schools to allow the school to see what is available and what is best for their students.

Opportunities for Young People

We provide a range of fun, interactive sessions for young people.

There are over  13.9 million disabled people in the UK, with many facing bullying or discrimination regularly. We aim to break down the barriers and stigma of disabled people enabling future generations of disabled people to live, learn and earn alongside their peers using our school-specific programme “See Me Not My CP”.
